Motorcyclist seriously injured as A267 closes for third time in a week

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision on the A267 in Hellingly this morning.


Emergency services were called to North Street at around 6.45am on Thursday, August 13, after a motorcycle was involved in a crash.


The rider was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.


The A267 remains closed in both directions between the Boship Roundabout in Hailsham and the B2104 junction while emergency services deal with the incident.


It is the third time in just a week that the busy route has been closed following a collision. Two separate crashes caused disruption on the A267 on August 6.


Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this morning's incident.



Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
